Carry out preliminary road test
Check seatbelt operation & mountings
Check operation of all electrical components
Check handbrake operation & lever security. Adjust & lubricate if required
Remove all road wheels and apply anti-seize compound to hubs & wheel studs
Inspect brake pads for wear, calipers for leaks, discs for condition & flexible hoses condition
Remove front & rear pads & check for deterioration
Change brake fluid
Check fuel, clutch, brake pipes & unions for chafing, corrosion and correct routing
Remove exhaust, lubricate prop & check bolts are secure
Change fuel filter
Change engine oil & filter
Change gearbox oil
Change diff oil
Check condition of steering joints, rack gaitors, ball joints and wishbone bushes
Check for fluid leaks from hydraulic pipes and unions (PAS only)
Check diff mounting bolts
Check all suspention fixings for security
Check tyres for correct spec. and damage. Check road wheels for damage & refit to origonal position
Visually check complete underside of vehicle for faults and abnormalities
Check condition of engine & gearbox mounting rubbers
Check seurity of exhaust manifold bolts (Rover engines only)
Check security of rocker covers (Rover engines only)
Change spark plugs
Check distributor cap, ignition leads and low tension wires for deterioration
Check crank sensor for debris (TVR engines only)
Check engine sensor connections for corrosion (TVR engines only)
Change air filter element
Check tappets & adjust if necessary (Speed six engines only) see notes 1
Check tappets & adjust if necessary (V8 Cerbera) see notes 1
Change clutch fluid
Check / top up PAS fluid (where applicable)
Check engine breather / hoses for security and condition
Check throttles and linkage operation and lubricate where possible
Check / adjust throttle stop
Check / top up windscreen washers & check wiper blade condition
Check master cylinder and under bonnet grommets are sealed - reseal if required
Change coolant (every 2 years)
Check / adjust ignition timing & CO with engine at operating temperature (Rover engines)
Check / adjust engine setting on computer with engine at operating temperature (TVR engines only)
Check cooling system for leaks and hoses for security
Check cooling fans operation
Check adjust tyre pressures inc spare
Check headlight alignment & auxiliary lights if fitted
Check / adjust cambers front & rear
Check / adjust tracking front & rear
Check / adjust all hinges, doors, boot, bonnet, locks & catches
Road test vehicle
Centralise steeing wheel if necessary
Wash vehicle & stamp service book
NOTES:
1. Adjust tappets for all TVR engines is up to 7 hours extra labour. normally 2 - 3 hours dose the job.
We have never had to charge more that 3 hours labour for tappet adjustment.
